Saudi animal ID market to reach $110m by 2030

Saudi Arabia’s animal identification market is expected to reach US$110 million by 2030 as government-led livestock digitalization and growing adoption of RFID and electronic identification systems support regional growth.
According to the latest Grand View Research animal identification report, the global market was valued at US$5.8 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow from US$6.2 billion in 2026 to US$11.9 billion by 2033, representing a CAGR of 9.7%. The research covers Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman within its Middle East and Africa analysis.
Saudi Arabia is the largest of the GCC markets for which Grand View Research (GVR) makes country-level figures publicly available. Its Saudi Arabia market data puts revenue at US$60.4 million in 2024 and forecasts it to reach US$110 million by 2030, representing a CAGR of 10.5% between 2025 and 2030. Livestock animals accounted for 58.6% of Saudi animal identification revenue in 2024.
Saudi Arabia pushes livestock digitalization
GVR attributes Saudi growth to government-led livestock digitalization under Vision 2030, rising investment in animal health surveillance and stricter disease-control measures. Programs promoting electronic identification, RFID ear tags and centralized livestock databases are supporting traceability, vaccination monitoring and breeding management.
The UAE is also seeing strong growth. The country’s animal identification market generated US$31.7 million in revenue in 2024 and is forecast to reach US$57.5 million by 2030, representing a CAGR of 10.4%. Livestock accounted for 58.7% of the UAE market in 2024.

Kuwait provides another indication of GCC market growth. Its animal identification market is expected to grow from US$16.9 million in 2024 to US$30.7 million by 2030, at a CAGR of 10.5%. Qatar and Oman are also included in the global report’s Middle East and Africa country coverage, although comparable country-level revenue figures are not provided in its publicly available summary.
Across the global market, hardware accounted for 50% of revenue in 2025, while wearables represented 54.3% by identification procedure. Livestock animals accounted for 55.7% of total market revenue. The technologies covered by the sector include electronic and visual identification hardware, wearables, microchipping and associated software and services.
