Dahua Technology USA Sold to a Taiwan Manufacturer

Dahua Technology stated in a letter provided to dealers and distributors that they will sell the North American division, Dahua Technology USA, to a Taiwan-based manufacturer, according to SecurityInfoWatch.com.

Lin Kun-Huang, the Director of Dahua Technology USA, said in the letter (obtained by SecurityInfoWatch.com) that North America was a significant market, yet Dahua is changing its ownership fully as a way of ensuring commitment to customers and securing a durable foundation for further growth in the North American market.

It is believed that the buyer is Luminys Systems, a subsidiary of a Taiwan-based company Foxlink which produces and sells connectors, cable assemblies, power management devices and battery packs operating on OEM/ODM models for top-tier manufacturers of communication devices, computers and consumer electronics.

Foxling was established in 1986 and along with affiliated companies thrived in creating a spectrum of products within wireless communications and optical technology. The aim was to provide customers with the total solution, from components to turnkey products of the highest quality.

As per public records, Foxlink gained revenue of $94 billion NTD in 2022, with 34,000 employees across approximately 15 design, manufacturing, and sales locations worldwide. TC Gou, the Chairman of Foxlink, is listed as the President of Luminys Systems, according to SecurityInfoWatch.com.

In the letter, Kun-Huang expresses pride for their accomplishments that provided the industry with leading security solutions. The relationships with dealers of their products enabled the company to deliver products and services to clients all over North America, as a way of making it more safe and secure.

Further he claims that the change of ownership will not affect product dealers, as they will receive continued tech support. The sales team at Dahua will remain the same, as well as points of contact. The business remains as usual, and the change allows an expansion of distribution channels with a brand originating from America, which will introduce various products aimed at catering to dealers and users in the North American market, according to SecurityInfoWatch.com.
