MOBOTIX Thermal Fire Detection Receives ANSI/FM 3260 Approval

MOBOTIX has received ANSI/FM 3260 approval for its thermal fire detection technology, adding another internationally recognized certification to its fire safety portfolio.

The approval was granted by FM Approvals following independent testing that included live fire scenarios with liquid, gas and solid fuels, as well as assessments of the system’s resistance to false alarms caused by environmental factors such as sunlight and welding.

ANSI/FM 3260 is a recognized performance standard for flame and thermal fire detection systems, confirming reliable operation and accurate detection under demanding industrial conditions.

The certification complements MOBOTIX’s existing approvals, including EN 54-10, VdS, CNPP and RIPCI/Applus, expanding the company’s compliance portfolio across Europe and the Americas.

MOBOTIX says its thermal fire detection solution is designed for large and complex sites, including warehouses, industrial facilities, energy infrastructure and data centers, where early detection of abnormal heat patterns can help identify fire risks before they escalate.
