Magna AI, Emaar Executive Partner on Sovereign AI Data Centers in Saudi Arabia
Magna AI and Emaar Executive have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop sovereign AI data center infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, supporting the Kingdom’s efforts to strengthen secure AI deployment, data sovereignty, and digital resilience, reports MenaTech. The memorandum of understanding was signed during the Global AI Show 2026 in Riyadh.
Under the agreement, Magna AI will provide the AI technology architecture, secure software platforms, execution environments, and data governance capabilities, while Emaar Executive will oversee engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), infrastructure deployment, logistics, and regulatory compliance.
The collaboration covers the entire lifecycle of AI data center development, from site selection and feasibility studies to construction, systems integration, and long-term operations. According to the companies, the facilities will incorporate high-density cooling, energy-efficient technologies, and infrastructure designed to support large-scale AI workloads while meeting Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity and sovereign data residency requirements.
“The power of sovereign artificial intelligence depends entirely on the strength of the underlying infrastructure it rests upon,” said Moataz BinAli, CEO of Magna AI.
The partnership reflects the Kingdom’s growing investment in sovereign digital infrastructure as government agencies and enterprises increasingly seek locally hosted AI computing environments that provide greater control over sensitive data and compliance with national security requirements.
