Intersec Special: ISS Going for Localization and AI-Driven Innovation

Intelligent Security Systems (ISS), a leading provider of security software and hardware, presented its latest AI-driven solutions at Intersec 2025. With over two decades of experience in deep learning and machine learning, ISS emphasized its commitment to developing security technologies tailored specifically to the Middle East’s unique needs.

Aluisio Figueiredo, CEO of ISS, underscores the significance of localization in the company’s approach to security solutions. He notes that the Middle East is not only advanced in technology adoption but also presents specific challenges that require customized solutions.

Aluisio Figueiredo, CEO of ISS

“We find that the needs here are very deep into the market,” Figueiredo explains. Unlike companies that attempt to adapt foreign technologies to the region, ISS has invested in local R&D, manufacturing, and direct engagement with clients.

This strategy, Figueiredo argues, allows the company to deliver truly effective security solutions. “This gave us an extreme advantage against other companies that are trying to use technology that works in other places and they try to bring to the Middle East. Here we see that one size does not fit all.”

SecureOS: A Complete Security Platform

One of ISS’s key offerings at Intersec was SecureOS, an end-to-end security platform that prioritizes accuracy and rapid response. Designed to minimize false alarms, SecureOS enables fast incident detection and automated dispatching for security operators.

Figueiredo highlighted the importance of precise alarm management, stating that SecureOS is designed to recognize incidents such as road crashes or suspicious vehicles and provide operators with predefined response protocols. This approach ensures efficient security management and minimizes delays in handling critical situations.

Intellisection: AI for Smarter Traffic Management

ISS also showcased Intellisection, an AI-powered traffic management system designed to optimize urban mobility. Developed over three years with input from North American clients, Intellisection analyzes traffic flow, signal timing, and pedestrian movement to reduce congestion.

Using license plate recognition and pedestrian tracking, the system adapts to real-time traffic conditions, helping cities enhance efficiency and safety. The technology is already deployed in several locations and is currently being customized for the Middle East market.

Under Vehicle Surveillance

Another highlight at ISS’s Intersec booth was the Under Vehicle Surveillance System (UVSS), the result of over a decade of R&D in AI-powered security analytics. This system captures high-resolution images of vehicle undercarriages, records license plates, and detects anomalies such as falling objects.

Built from lightweight aluminum and featuring a machine vision camera with LED illumination, the system is a leader in vehicle surveillance across the Middle East.

Commitment to Reliability and Customer-Centric Development

Figueiredo emphasizes ISS’s dedication to understanding not only the region’s technological requirements but also its cultural expectations. He acknowledged past industry challenges, where companies made ambitious promises but failed to deliver. ISS, he assures, remains committed to working closely with customers, ensuring that solutions meet real-world security needs.

By combining AI-driven innovation with localized development, ISS continues to strengthen its presence in the Middle East security market, offering tailored, reliable solutions for governments and businesses alike.
