Digital Dubai Launches AI+ Build an AI-Ready Government Workforce
Dubai’s new AI Workforce Transformation Program aims to train 50,000 government employees through tailored learning tracks designed to boost productivity, accelerate AI adoption, and support the emirate’s broader digital-government ambitions
Digital Dubai has launched the AI Workforce Transformation Program, branded as AI+, to train 50,000 Dubai Government employees in the practical use of artificial intelligence, according to Digital Dubai. The initiative is being delivered in collaboration with the Dubai Government Human Resources Department and the Dubai Center for Artificial Intelligence under the umbrella of Dubai Future Foundation.
The program is designed to equip government staff with the knowledge and skills needed to adopt AI in service delivery and institutional processes, with tailored tracks for leaders, chief AI officers, product and service owners, managers, and employees. Training will cover areas such as prompt engineering, AI agents, productivity tools, AI police implementation, and practical use-case development.
Digital Dubai said the initiative is intended to strengthen AI literacy, improve efficiency, and embed a stronger culture of innovation across government entities. Director General Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori said the program supports a more intelligence-driven government model in which human capabilities and AI work together to enhance productivity, speed up decision-making, and improve digital quality of life.
The move also aligns with Dubai’s wider digital transformation push and the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, while reinforcing the emirate’s ambition to remain a leading digital city and a global benchmark in technology-led government modernization, Digital Dubai reported.
