Intersec Special: Iris ID’s Next-Gen Authentication with Multimodal Biometrics and Seamless Integration

At Intersec 2025, Iris ID presented its latest innovations in biometric authentication, focusing on multimodal identification, enhanced security, and seamless integration with enterprise systems. As a global leader in iris and facial recognition technology, the company demonstrated how its solutions improve access control, workforce management, and border security while ensuring compatibility with both legacy and future systems.
The Middle East has become a key market for advanced biometric technology, driven by increasing investments in security infrastructure, data centers, and enterprise applications. Mohammad Murad, Vice President for Global Sales and Business Development at Iris ID, highlighted the region’s rapid digital transformation and the growing demand for secure and efficient authentication methods.
Speaking about the evolving security landscape, he stated, “Nowadays we are living in a very sophisticated world, when technologies are developed and evolving in the region very fast, in all sectors of your life. And the problematic thing is that it’s becoming sophisticated from both sides, from the sides of the potential threat and from the sides of the people who are trying to prevent these threats in the world.”
With governments and enterprises in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region expanding their border security, law enforcement, and workforce management systems, biometric authentication is playing an increasingly crucial role in safeguarding data centers, logistics hubs, and corporate environments.
Biometric Solutions for Security and Workforce Management
Iris ID introduced its IrisAccess iA1000, a newly launched biometric authentication device that serves as the successor to the widely deployed iCAM7000. This latest model offers an improved user interface, faster authentication, and more flexible integration capabilities. The device allows users to identify themselves within two seconds from a distance of 65 centimeters, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
The company also showcased its iT100, an innovative time and attendance solution designed to integrate directly with human resource management systems (HRMS). Built on an Android platform, the iT100 enables employees to interact with HR applications, check work hours, review vacation balances, and acknowledge regulatory compliance requirements. This approach transforms biometric devices from simple authentication tools into fully functional workforce management assistants.
Fusion of Iris and Facial Recognition for Authentication
One of the most significant advancements highlighted at Intersec 2025 was Iris ID’s multimodal biometric platform, which combines iris and facial recognition into a single authentication process. The company emphasized that while facial recognition is widely used for convenience, iris recognition remains the most accurate biometric modality. By integrating both technologies, Iris ID enhances security while maintaining user flexibility.
The latest biometric devices allow end users to choose their preferred authentication method. Users can register for face recognition, iris scanning, or a combination of both, ensuring a tailored and secure experience. The system automatically captures the most efficient biometric modality, streamlining the authentication process while maintaining high accuracy.
“If you have a factory of 4,000 or 5,000 people that they need to get to their workbench, by using our technology, you will be able to process a lot of people. Within two seconds, we can identify an individual. So, you can probably process between 20 to 30 people from one portal to identify them and get them to work very quickly”, says Murad.
Seamless Integration and Future-Proofing Security Systems
To ensure compatibility with existing security infrastructure, Iris ID has designed its biometric solutions to integrate easily with legacy and next-generation systems. The company provides REST API and SDK support, allowing system integrators and technology partners to develop custom applications and enhance existing platforms with biometric authentication.
Murad emphasized that Iris ID is committed to supporting both legacy security systems and new enterprise applications, ensuring that organizations can adopt biometric solutions without disrupting their existing operations.
Expanding Presence in Global and Regional Security Events
Beyond Intersec 2025, Iris ID is set to showcase its solutions at multiple security and technology events throughout the year. The company will participate in ISC West in Las Vegas, Identity Week in Amsterdam, and Intersec Saudi later in the year. Additionally, it will attend regional events in Central Asia, the Adriatic region, and North America, focusing on law enforcement, border security, and workforce management.
As the adoption of biometric security continues to grow worldwide, Iris ID remains at the forefront of developing biometric authentication solutions that enhance security, streamline workforce management, and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Through its multimodal biometric innovations and commitment to interoperability, the company is setting new benchmarks for secure and efficient authentication.
