Dubai Leverages Advanced Security Technologies for New Year’s Eve 2026 Celebrations
Dubai’s Event Security Committee (ESC) has confirmed full readiness of its security, organisational, and service plans for the New Year’s Eve 2026 celebrations, with advanced security technologies at the core of operations to ensure public safety and seamless event delivery.
The announcement was made during a press conference at Dubai Civil Defence Headquarters, attended by senior officials from government bodies and partner organisations involved in managing the celebrations.
This year’s programme includes fireworks displays at 40 locations across the emirate, totalling 48 shows. Key venues include Burj Khalifa, Global Village, Atlantis The Royal, Bab Al Shams Desert Resort, Al Marmoom Oasis, Expo City Dubai, Dubai Frame, Emirates Golf Club, Dubai Parks and Resorts, and Hatta.
Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Operations and Chairman of the ESC, said 55 government, semi-government, and private-sector entities are operating under a unified security framework. Dubai has been divided into four operational sectors—North, Central, West, and the Marine Sector—supported by integrated command-and-control systems to enhance real-time coordination and rapid response.
Security operations rely on smart surveillance, digital communications, and data-driven monitoring tools to manage crowd movement, traffic flow, and incident response. A total of 37 support and assistance tents have been deployed across celebration sites, offering police services, first aid, lost and found support, and visitor guidance.
Authorities urged the public to comply with safety instructions and traffic regulations. Emergencies can be reported via 999, while non-emergency enquiries should be directed to 901. Dedicated viewing areas for workers have also been arranged, ensuring safe and organised access to the celebrations.
