e& launches sovereign collaboration platform
e& UAE has launched OneWork, a cloud-based unified communication and collaboration platform designed to help organisations meet the UAE’s growing data sovereignty and regulatory compliance requirements.
Developed, hosted and managed entirely within the UAE, the platform ensures that enterprise communications, data and workloads remain within the country. The company says this approach provides both public and private sector organisations with greater control over sensitive information while supporting compliance with national data residency regulations.
OneWork combines voice calling, video conferencing, messaging, file sharing and collaboration tools within a single platform. It also includes cloud telephony capabilities, allowing organisations to migrate existing national PSTN numbers to the cloud while maintaining business continuity and modernising legacy communications infrastructure.
According to e& UAE, the platform is built on its sovereign cloud infrastructure and is designed to deliver high availability, secure connectivity and enterprise-grade performance across multiple devices. The solution also supports advanced cloud contact centre capabilities, enabling organisations to consolidate communications into a more integrated and scalable environment.
The launch reflects a wider trend across the Gulf, where governments and regulated industries are placing greater emphasis on sovereign cloud services and locally hosted digital infrastructure. As sectors such as government, finance, healthcare and critical infrastructure continue to accelerate digital transformation, demand for communication platforms that combine enterprise collaboration with strict data residency requirements is expected to grow.
