Hikvision Unveils 2026 AIoT Cybersecurity White Paper
Hikvision has released its 2026 Cybersecurity White Paper, outlining updates to its cybersecurity strategy and security development practices aimed at addressing emerging risks in AI-powered Internet of Things (AIoT) environments.
The latest edition of the white paper centers on the company’s Hikvision Security Development Maturity Model (HSDMM), a framework designed to integrate cybersecurity throughout the product development lifecycle. According to Hikvision, the model combines governance, standardized security processes, and technical controls to strengthen the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of connected products and services.
A key addition in the 2026 edition is a dedicated chapter on artificial intelligence security, which outlines measures for protecting AI models and mitigating security risks associated with intelligent systems. The document also introduces updated guidance on data classification and protection, covering both edge devices and cloud-based services.
The white paper further expands on open-source software governance, describing procedures for evaluating, auditing, and managing open-source components during development. In addition, Hikvision highlights an integrated approach to vulnerability management, combining vulnerability detection, coordinated disclosure, incident response, and mitigation processes.
The company says the updated framework reflects its continued investment in product lifecycle security and alignment with internationally recognized cybersecurity standards. Hikvision notes that it has obtained additional ISO/IEC certifications related to cloud security and vulnerability handling, while also maintaining compliance with ETSI EN 303645 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0.
“Security is the cornerstone of smart technology.”
– Hikvision
The company said the publication is intended to provide customers and industry partners with practical guidance for strengthening cybersecurity as AIoT deployments continue to expand across industries.
