UAE advances FedAI ecosystem for government AI
The UAE is moving its federal Agentic AI program into a new phase. It is also preparing FedAI, a national technical ecosystem for federal entities.
The Ministerial Council for Artificial Intelligence and Development has reviewed plans to establish FedAI, a national technical ecosystem for Agentic AI. It will allow federal entities to develop, adopt and operate Agentic AI solutions within a flexible and secure system.
Federal platform for Agentic AI
FedAI is part of the wider UAE Government Agentic AI Project. The first phase focused on building government capabilities. It also assessed services, operations and tasks across ministries and federal entities. Projects identified during that phase will move into the next stage. The government plans to launch them using Agentic AI.
FedAI will give federal entities a national technical ecosystem for developing, adopting and operating Agentic AI solutions within a flexible and secure system.
The Council also reviewed plans for a customer experience lab. The lab will apply Agentic AI to government services. It also discussed internal government challenges designed to involve employees in developing AI solutions.
Secure infrastructure as adoption scales
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, said Agentic AI should improve government efficiency, service quality and execution speed.
“We are building a government system that is smarter, more flexible and more proactive; a system that leverages Agentic AI to develop services, operations and tasks, and to shape policies and decisions,” Sheikh Mansour said. He added that this should be achieved within “a secure and reliable digital infrastructure.”
The initiative builds on the UAE’s government framework announced in April. The framework targets Agentic AI adoption across 50% of government sectors, services and operations within two years.
