ASSA ABLOY Highlights Sustainable Manufacturing in Dubai

ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Middle East showcased its sustainable manufacturing practices and building solutions during a Green Building Week visit by the Emirates Green Building Council in Dubai.

ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Middle East welcomed members of the Emirates Green Building Council (EGBC) to its Dubai headquarters and manufacturing facility on September 7, using the Green Building Week visit to highlight measures aimed at reducing the environmental impact of its operations and product portfolio. The program included a tour of the company’s metal doors manufacturing facility and Product Experience Center, with a focus on solutions supporting energy efficiency, safety, accessibility, and more sustainable building performance.

The visit focused on ASSA ABLOY’s sustainability initiatives across its manufacturing operations and product portfolio. Guests toured the company’s metal doors manufacturing facility and Product Experience Center, where they were introduced to measures and solutions aimed at reducing environmental impact while supporting safety, accessibility, energy efficiency, and more sustainable building performance.

Aristidis Kotarelas, VP and Head of ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Middle East said sustainability is a fundamental part of how the company innovates and operates. “Our ambition is to halve emissions from our operations by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions across our value chain by 2050. Events such as these create valuable opportunities to exchange knowledge, inspire innovation, and collectively contribute to a more sustainable built environment across the UAE and the wider region,” he said.
