Flagship AI Biometric Terminal, Trust Engineered into Every Door

The access control market has been steadily shifting toward multi-modal, identity-centric systems. What’s often been missing is a single terminal that delivers across four key dimensions at once: certified security, high performance, credential flexibility, and a front-of-house experience suited to premium spaces.

Suprema’s flagship AI-powered biometric terminal, BioStation 3 Max, is designed around a clear principle: identity-first security built from the ground up. Designed for busy lobbies and mission-critical entrances, it combines a hardened, highly certified platform with fast, trusted multi-factor authentication and broad credential support in one enterprise-ready 7-inch touchscreen device.

Hardened Where It Matters Most — Security You Can Certify

As Suprema’s new flagship terminal, BioStation 3 Max addresses the needs of security-conscious organizations by offering certified and documented protection for compliance.

The platform runs on a hardened Linux OS with Secure Boot, ensuring that only authorized firmware can run at startup—a critical safeguard in environments where physical access to devices represents a genuine threat vector. Its security architecture is further reinforced by CC EAL6+ certified components, among the highest assurance levels available in access control hardware, providing protection well beyond that of typical access terminals. Encrypted biometric templates, TLS-secured communications, and a secure tamper response mechanism that detects physical compromise and triggers immediate alerts and protective actions strengthen the platform’s resilience against cyber and physical threats. In addition, its Template-on-Mobile architecture keeps biometric data on the user’s device rather than in centralized databases, helping organizations meet increasingly stringent global data sovereignty and privacy requirements.

For global deployments, Template-on-Mobile keeps biometric data on personal devices instead of centralized infrastructure—an architectural advantage when navigating regulations like GDPR. Multi-factor authentication options (face + fingerprint, face + card, face + PIN) add layered security for sensitive environments.

Sub-second Face Matching

Busy entrances don’t wait. BioStation 3 Max runs Suprema’s latest AI engine on a dedicated NPU platform, enabling face matching in under 0.3 seconds, even for people in motion. More importantly, performance holds up in real-world conditions. Sunglasses, masks, scarves, varied angles, and changing lighting are handled without slowing throughput, supporting up to 100,000 users. Dual 2MP visual and IR cameras support strong liveness detection and anti-spoofing, ensuring speed doesn’t come at the expense of security.

PoE+ (802.3at) support on APB and OAPB variants allows both power and data over a single cable, simplifying installation and reducing infrastructure costs at scale.

One Device for Every Access Scenario

Managing multiple credential types often leads to fragmented hardware at entry points. BioStation 3 Max consolidates these into a single device. The OAPB and ODP model variants include an optical fingerprint sensor alongside face and RFID, enabling multi-biometric authentication for high-security environments.

The built-in VoIP intercom with SIP integration is especially useful at front-of-house entrances. Visitors can communicate directly with reception through the terminal when additional verification is needed, eliminating the need for a separate intercom system and streamlining the overall experience.

Built for Demanding Spaces, Designed to Fit In

Access devices in premium environments influence brand perception. BioStation 3 Max balances durability with refined design to suit both functional and aesthetic expectations.

The 7-inch IPS touchscreen aligns with the BioStation family’s design language, ensuring a consistent user experience across access points while providing a high-resolution interface optimized for both access control and time-and-attendance applications. Organizations can customize logos, messages, themes, and other branding elements to align the interface with their corporate identity, while clear on-screen guidance helps employees and visitors navigate authentication quickly and intuitively, even in high-traffic environments.

BioStation 3 Max is a terminal designed to meet operational demands without forcing trade-offs between capability and experience.

Behind its refined exterior, the IP65-rated housing and IK06 impact protection handle real-world conditions such as dust, moisture, and physical contact. Its flexible form factor supports speed gates, wall mounting, and kiosk installations, allowing consistent deployment across different environments.

As access control becomes more identity-centric, the demand is shifting toward terminals that can combine certified protection, fast authentication, flexible credential support, and a polished user experience in a single front-of-house device. BioStation 3 Max is Suprema’s response to that gap: a terminal designed to meet operational demands without forcing trade-offs between capability and experience.
