UAE Cyber Factory to Strengthen National Cyber Sovereignty
The UAE Cyber Security Council and CPX Holding have launched the UAE Cyber Factory, a new initiative designed to build AI-powered cybersecurity capabilities and reinforce the country’s digital independence
The UAE Cyber Security Council (CSC), in collaboration with its national strategic cybersecurity partner CPX Holding, has announced the launch of the UAE Cyber Factory, according to a WAM report.
The initiative aims to strengthen the UAE’s digital leadership and reinforce its cyber sovereignty at a time when cyber threats are becoming more complex and more frequent. According to the UAE Cyber Security Council, more than 800,000 daily cyberattacks have been recorded in recent months, underlining the need for adaptive and resilient national defences.
“The UAE Cyber Factory brings together local talent, advanced engineering and innovation built in the UAE,”
Hadi Anwar, CEO of CPX
The UAE Cyber Factory will design, build and scale the next generation of cybersecurity capabilities through advanced programmes, technologies and AI-powered systems. The goal is to improve the country’s ability to anticipate, detect and respond to sophisticated threats targeting institutions, businesses and individuals.
Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, said the launch marks a new phase in the UAE’s cybersecurity leadership and positions the country as a global hub for advanced cybersecurity.
“In the face of rising global challenges, the UAE stands as a leading model that not only protects but also innovates and leads by developing advanced technologies capable of detecting, preventing and deterring cyber threats effectively,” he said, according to WAM.
The initiative is also intended to create a fully sovereign and integrated cybersecurity ecosystem, giving the UAE end-to-end ownership of key digital defence capabilities. CSC and CPX said the factory will support the local design, development and production of globally competitive cybersecurity solutions.
Hadi Anwar, CEO of CPX, said the UAE Cyber Factory brings together local talent, advanced engineering and innovation built in the UAE.
“By enabling end-to-end capabilities and strengthening national ownership of digital defences, it will help create a secure and resilient environment for government, businesses and citizens,” he said.
