Sharjah Cyber Security Center has held the Sharjah Cyber Shield Forum, bringing together senior government officials and experts in cybersecurity, IT, and strategic planning, reflecting the emirate’s focus on digital readiness and a more resilient cyber ecosystem. The event was positioned as part of Sharjah’s wider effort to support sustainable digital transformation and protect the reliability of government systems and services.
The forum served as a platform for government entities and specialist partners to exchange expertise and review global cyber trends and best practices. Discussions focused on building an integrated digital protection framework based on institutional readiness, proactive risk management and stronger cross-government integration, reinforcing the view of cybersecurity as a core enabler of government service continuity rather than only a technical safeguard.
Sessions also covered the role of the Sharjah Cyber Security Center in protecting the emirate’s digital infrastructure, alongside presentations on Sharjah’s cybersecurity strategy, its Cyber Security Operations Center, and priority areas including compliance and governance, cyber resilience and cyber media. The center additionally highlighted its work on developing national capabilities and adopting proactive operating models built around risk analysis, early detection and intelligent threat response.
Speaking at the event, Eng. Abdelnasir Obaid Bukhatir, Director of Sharjah Cyber Security Center, said cybersecurity has become a strategic pillar for business continuity, government service sustainability and the protection of national digital gains. He added that the emirate is moving toward a proactive model designed to anticipate and mitigate risks before they emerge, while strengthening trust in Sharjah’s digital environment.
The forum concluded with recognition for entities and partners that contributed to strengthening cybersecurity and digital awareness across the emirate.
