Johnson Controls launches new fire safety workstations
Johnson Controls has launched two next-generation fire safety workstations designed to centralize monitoring and control across large and complex facilities.
The new Simplex Incident Manager and Autocall Fire Site Administrator combine enterprise-scale fire system monitoring, cybersecurity-focused architecture and centralized incident management. They target environments such as data centers, hospitals, airports, campuses, high-rise buildings and sports venues.
Each workstation can monitor and control up to 250,000 devices and 687 fire alarm control units. Johnson Controls says this is 2.5 times more control units than leading industry alternatives.

The platforms can also integrate data from control units made by different manufacturers. This allows operators to bring fire system information into a single command environment.
The systems provide graphical floor plans, centralized annunciation and real-time status information. They also support up to 60 remote users through desktop or mobile applications.
Operators can send customized notifications to occupants and first responders. They can also connect cameras to improve situational awareness.
Cybersecurity and existing-system integration
The workstations use ISA/IEC 62443-aligned software and modern authentication controls. These features help restrict access to authorized users.
Simplex Incident Manager is also backward compatible with existing Simplex fire detection systems and the ES Net life safety network. The Autocall platform supports existing Autocall and ES Net installations.
This allows facilities to upgrade their fire safety management without replacing previous investments in compatible infrastructure.
Both products are available now and support five languages, including Arabic.
