KSA Unveils $3.2 Billion ‘Silicon Valley’ Cybersecurity District in Riyadh
Saudi Arabia has unveiled Pulse Wadi, a pioneering district poised to become the Kingdom’s answer to Silicon Valley. Backed by a substantial investment of approximately SAR 12.1 billion ($3.2 billion), the district embodies the nation’s commitment to cybersecurity, innovation, and sustainable urban development as part of its Vision 2030 initiative.
Developed by the global architecture and design firm LWK + PARTNERS in collaboration with key governmental bodies, Pulse Wadi spans an expansive 600,000 square meters, boasting a gross floor area of 1.14 million square meters. Located near Riyadh’s national infrastructure network, it’s purpose-built to host high-tech industries and digital research institutions within a future-ready ecosystem.
Silicon Valley of the Middle East
The district will feature two iconic headquarters, cultural centers, and a robust cyber-research community. By blending advanced technology with heritage architecture inspired by Salmani principles, Pulse Wadi represents a fusion of tradition and innovation.
Green Innovation and Mobility
Inspired by Wadi Hanifa, the master plan integrates a lush “green spine,” with over 60% of the district devoted to eco-friendly spaces. Urban metabolic technologies, electric vehicles, autonomous taxis, and pedestrian-friendly networks support a lifestyle of innovative, sustainable mobility.
A Cultural and Civic Hub
At its heart lies the Central Wadi Plaza—a multifunctional civic space designed to host inclusive events and honor Najdi culture. Retail, recreational, and dining zones seamlessly connect with the surrounding tech infrastructure, making Pulse Wadi not just a hub for innovation but also a vibrant community space.
“Pulse Wadi is not just a project; it’s a bold statement of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to innovation and sustainability,”
Kourosh Salehi, Global Design Principal at LWK + PARTNERS.
As Saudi Arabia continues to invest in transformative tech infrastructure, Pulse Wadi serves as a powerful symbol of the Kingdom’s intent to lead the region in cybersecurity excellence and digital entrepreneurship.
