Intersec Special ASSA ABLOY: Digital Confidence on Display

At Intersec 2025 in Dubai, ASSA ABLOY showcased its latest digital access solutions, highlighting advancements in security technology across commercial and residential applications.
“Welcome to Intersec Dubai 2025. Here we are launching our new digital access solutions identity under ‘Digital with Confidence,’” says Murtaza Husaini, Business Development Director and Head of Security Solutions for the Middle East at ASSA ABLOY. The company’s bold motto applies across all user categories, but the focus this year is on two primary verticals: commercial and residential security.
Several new products debuted in the Middle East region during the event, including Speed Doors, which received the prestigious Red Dot Award in 2024. ASSA ABLOY also introduced a range of innovative solutions underpinned by cloud-based ecosystems and integrated technologies.
Advancements in Commercial Access Solutions
One of the highlights in the commercial sector was the Aperio wireless solution. Husaini explains that Aperio integrates with over 100 OEMs and counting, offering a flexible system expansion without requiring wiring. This reduces installation and maintenance costs, making it a practical choice for businesses.
The ASSA ABLOY Access Management System also drew significant attention. This cloud-based access control solution integrates seamlessly with products like Pulse, an energy-harvesting technology that operates without batteries or wiring. Similarly, Control iD, a facial identification system, was presented as a versatile solution that can function as a standalone product or integrate into existing systems.
Flagship Product and Intercom Innovations
ASSA ABLOY’s flagship product, CLIQ, was another focal point. This digital key-based management system boasts remote functionality and high durability with its superior IP rating. Husaini notes its widespread success, particularly in Europe and the Middle East.
Additionally, DoorBird, an integrated intercom management system, was introduced as part of ASSA ABLOY’s offerings. The system enhances communication and security in both residential and commercial applications.
Commitment to Sustainability
ASSA ABLOY’s commitment to sustainability was another important aspect of its Intersec 2025 showcase. Husaini highlights the company’s investment in Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), which were completed in 2024. “As you know, in 2026 a new regulation is going to come where it will be compulsory to have EPDs for marking, and we are already way ahead,” he says. This proactive approach underscores the group’s dedication to environmental responsibility.
Holistic Approach to Security
Husaini concludes by emphasizing ASSA ABLOY’s comprehensive approach to security solutions, which integrates advanced technologies, sustainability initiatives, and user-friendly designs. The company’s presence at Intersec 2025 reinforced its leadership in the security sector, showcasing products that cater to evolving market needs while setting benchmarks for innovation and environmental stewardship.
