Intersec Special: Suprema’s Strength Comes through Unity of Systems and Data

At Intersec 2025 in Dubai, Suprema Middle East is presenting a new wave of security solutions tailored to the growing demand for unified platforms. With businesses and institutions seeking seamless integration of biometric devices, access control, time and attendance, CCTV surveillance, and artificial intelligence, Suprema is addressing these needs through advanced technology and innovation.
The security industry is increasingly focused on overcoming fragmentation, where different components such as CCTV, access control, and time and attendance systems come from separate manufacturers. This creates inefficiencies and makes it difficult for operators to extract meaningful data. Suprema’s latest developments aim to bridge this gap by providing a unified security ecosystem.
Addressing Market Challenges Through Integration
Mohamed Shenawy, Managing Director of Suprema Middle East, highlighted this industry-wide challenge, stating that the main challenge is to unify everything and to get useful data for the operator. “If you look at a building with 300 cameras, 1,000 doors, and 100 time and attendance devices, it’s too much to handle”, says Shenawy.
A key aspect of this approach is the ability to intelligently filter and prioritize security information. In a large facility with hundreds of cameras and access points, operators can be overwhelmed with data. Suprema’s new system ensures that only relevant alerts and feeds are highlighted, allowing for more effective monitoring of restricted areas, entrances, and high-security zones.
The Next Generation of BioStar Access Control
Suprema is unveiling a new version of BioStar, its flagship access control, and time and attendance platform. The latest release introduces integrated video management software, enabling security operators to monitor live camera feeds directly from the system. Graphical mapping functions provide a visual representation of security infrastructure, while an advanced document reader allows users to enroll individuals using official identification such as passports or national IDs.
By extracting a photo from an identity document and linking it to biometric authentication, the system ensures a seamless and secure access process. Suprema’s new BioStar iteration is designed to meet evolving market demands, supporting enterprise-level integration and expanding the company’s reach into new sectors.

New Centralized Product Line
* Suprema is unveiling CoreStation 20P which features Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability. This PoE model, which has been highly requested by customers for years, provides more flexibility by allowing the controller to be powered through the same Ethernet cable.
* Suprema also releasing CoreStation , which is a Non-POE model .
* Another new product being introduced is the DI24, a two-door intelligent subcontroller. This subcontroller can be connected to the main controller and, unlike the older DM20 model, retains full functionality even if the connection between the main controller and the subcontroller is lost, providing enhanced reliability and operational continuity.
Rejection Rates Are Among the Lowest in the Industry
In large organizations with thousands of employees, speed and accuracy in authentication are critical. Suprema’s biometric technology delivers market-leading performance, identifying individuals in just 0.3 seconds. This rapid response time is essential in high-traffic environments where employees enter facilities simultaneously at peak hours.
False acceptance and rejection rates are among the lowest in the industry, ensuring both security and efficiency. Suprema’s advanced biometric readers, including facial recognition devices, support high-volume authentication while maintaining robust security protocols.
“Customers who have a very big database of employees, like 10,000 employees, 20,000, even 50,000 employees. They value the product supremum, how fast it is. So, we respond in 0.3 seconds. We identify the person, and if we connect a magnetic lock to the reader or a door lock or a wireless door lock, we can trigger the door in a timely manner and be ready to receive a big flow of people, especially when you have like a big organization having many, many employees, maybe probably thousands coming all of them at the same time”, says Shenawy.
Innovations in Facial Recognition and Outdoor Security
Among the key product launches at Intersec 2025 is the BioEntry W3, the slimmest and most compact facial recognition device designed for outdoor use. With an IP67 rating for weather resistance and IK certification for impact protection, this device is built to perform in extreme environments. The technology is particularly suited for the Middle East’s high temperatures as well as colder climates in Europe.
Facial recognition has become a critical component of access control, and Suprema’s new solutions provide a reliable option for organizations seeking secure, contactless authentication. With its latest facial recognition solutions designed for outdoor and enterprise environments, Suprema is reinforcing its position as a leader in biometric innovation.
Cloud-Based Security Solutions for Modern Enterprises
As cloud adoption grows, Suprema is introducing a cloud-based security platform that offers enhanced flexibility and functionality. The solution includes visitor management capabilities, meeting room booking integration, and seamless biometric enrollment. Organizations with cloud infrastructure can now connect their devices remotely while maintaining full control over access permissions and authentication processes.
By leveraging cloud technology, Suprema is expanding its service offerings to accommodate evolving customer requirements. One of the highlights is CLUe, a cloud-based solution that enables seamless connection of devices to the cloud. With this system, users can integrate their own applications to communicate directly with Suprema’s devices.
For example, the ByteStation 3, part of the solution, supports advanced functionalities like facial recognition and dynamic QR code scanning, where the code updates every 5 to 10 seconds for added security. These features are highly programmable and can be customized to meet specific client requirements, offering a flexible and efficient access control solution.
Expanding Global Reach and Regional Presence
While Intersec remains the primary platform for Suprema’s Middle East engagement, the company is also strengthening its presence in Africa and the CIS region. English-speaking African countries are now managed from the Dubai office, with plans to participate in regional events. Additionally, Suprema is expanding its footprint in Russia, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan through dedicated marketing initiatives.
The Saudi market is another key focus area, with Suprema participating in Saudi Intersec, scheduled for later in the year. By attending these major industry events, the company is reinforcing its commitment to serving diverse markets with advanced security solutions.
Stronger Industry Partnerships
Intersec 2025 also marks the debut of Suprema’s integrations with major security platforms, including Honeywell Pro-Watch and Genetec Security Center. These partnerships enable seamless connectivity between Suprema’s biometric readers and leading access control and video management systems. By ensuring compatibility with widely used security platforms, Suprema is making it easier for enterprises to implement biometric authentication within their existing infrastructure.
Pioneering the Future of Biometric Security
With a strong focus on integration, speed, and innovation, Suprema is setting new benchmarks in biometric security at Intersec 2025. The company’s latest solutions are designed to enhance security operations by providing faster authentication, improved video management, and seamless connectivity between devices. By responding to market demands with advanced technology, Suprema is reinforcing its leadership in the global security landscape.
