Intersec Saudi Arabia names advisory committees for 2026 conference program
Intersec Saudi Arabia has appointed two advisory committees comprising senior industry experts to shape the conference agenda for its 2026 edition, with a focus on AI, cyber-physical security, resilience and next-generation fire protection.
The committees will guide the Future Security Summit and the Fire Protection & Technology Summit, which will take place during Intersec Saudi Arabia 16-18 November at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center.
Riham Sedik, Exhibition Director at Intersec Saudi Arabia, said the advisory committees bring together experts with extensive operational, strategic and technical experience across security, emergency management, fire protection and resilience. She added that their expertise will help ensure both conference programs address the industry’s most pressing challenges while delivering practical insights into emerging technologies, frameworks and leadership strategies.

AI and resilience take center stage
The Future Security Summit will focus on AI-enabled security operations, cyber-physical security convergence, critical infrastructure protection, crisis management and resilience planning.
Yusuf Hasan, Senior Aviation Security Advisor at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and a member of the Future Security Summit Advisory Committee, said one of the industry’s biggest challenges is balancing rapid development with the need to maintain secure, resilient and trusted environments. He noted that the continued expansion of Saudi Arabia’s tourism, aviation, logistics and digital sectors is making the regional threat landscape increasingly complex.

Fire safety shifts toward risk-based protection
Meanwhile, the Fire Protection & Technology Summit will examine the evolution of fire safety strategies for increasingly complex infrastructure projects.
Dr. Reginald D. Freeman, Member of the Board of Directors at the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and a member of the Fire Protection & Technology Summit Advisory Committee, said the fire protection sector is moving away from traditional code compliance toward risk-informed, performance-based fire engineering. He added that the future of fire safety in Saudi Arabia will increasingly focus on anticipating risks, strengthening resilience and supporting sustainable development rather than simply responding to emergencies.
Intersec Saudi Arabia 2026 is expected to attract more than 25,000 visitors and over 500 exhibitors, reinforcing its position as one of the KSA’s leading trade events for security, safety and fire protection technologies.
