Euro Defence Expo Opens Ticket Shop Ahead of Debut in Essen

Messe Essen has opened the ticket shop for the first edition of Euro Defence Expo, a new B2B platform for the security and defence industry that will run alongside Security Essen and include access to the established security show

Messe Essen has officially opened the ticket shop for Euro Defence Expo (EUDEX), marking the next step in preparations for the event’s debut from 22 to 25 September in Essen, Germany. According to the organiser, the new B2B format is designed to bring together the international security and defence industry, offering a platform for exchanges between industry, armed forces, politics, public authorities and research.

Regular day tickets are priced at €79, while members of the Bundeswehr and allied armed forces receive complimentary admission. Representatives from public authorities as well as research and development organisations can attend at a reduced rate of €35. Messe Essen said access is generally activated shortly after a security check is completed and recommended registering at least five days before the planned visit.

The organiser positions EUDEX as a European meeting point focused on industrial performance, technological innovation, whole-of-government resilience and civil-military cooperation. The event has already attracted industry participation, with North Rhine-Westphalia planning a joint pavilion featuring established companies and start-ups presenting solutions for land forces, cybersecurity and critical infrastructure protection. Under the theme “Modern Industrial Manufacturing”, exhibitors will also highlight advanced production methods, digital processes and scalable industrial capabilities.

Messe Essen also stressed the added value of staging EUDEX alongside Security Essen and the annual conference of the Joint Air Power Competence Centre. The organiser said this parallel format is expected to generate synergies between civil and military security, including in areas such as CBRN defence. The EUDEX ticket includes access to Security Essen, while additional tickets are available online for the JAPCC Conference and the EUDEX Conference by CPM, scheduled for 23 and 24 September with a focus on “European Deep Strike Capability”.
