ONVIF Profile M Powers Dahua-Arteco Interoperability Push
Dahua Technology has announced full compatibility between its camera and NVR portfolio and Arteco’s uSee video management system, in a move that underscores the growing role of ONVIF-based interoperability in modern security deployments. According to the company, the integration is designed to give system integrators and end users a more open, scalable and metadata-driven surveillance environment
At the core of the announcement is support for ONVIF Profiles M, T and G. Dahua said Profile M is particularly significant because it enables richer exchange of metadata and analytics between devices and the VMS, including AI-generated events, object classification, behavioural analytics and structured metadata. This allows Arteco’s uSee platform to deliver faster event search and more accurate forensic search capabilities, helping operators investigate incidents more efficiently.
The joint solution also supports video and audio streaming, smart events and edge recording access via ONVIF Profile G, while enabling deeper analytics handling across Dahua cameras, NVRs and Arteco’s software environment. The result is a system architecture aimed at combining advanced AI workflows with reliable storage and retrieval functions.
Dahua said the partnership reflects a broader industry shift towards standards-based security ecosystems that give customers more flexibility in how they build and expand their systems. By relying on ONVIF as a common integration language, the two companies are positioning the solution as a practical option for organizations seeking stronger interoperability without being locked into a closed environment.
In the company statement, Dahua highlighted that the cooperation with Arteco goes beyond basic device compatibility and is intended to support future-ready deployments that can adapt to evolving operational and investigative requirements.
