With the launch of IDIS’s new Edge AI Plus 8MP LightMaster IR PTZ camera (DC-S6883WRA) and Edge AI Plus 6MP LightMaster IR PTZ camera (DC-S6683WRA) – the latest additions to the Edge AI Plus range – IDIS is meeting the needs of a broader range of Middle East customers, and offering the ability to target the latest edge AI-powered automated object classification and detection capabilities across busy scenes and high-security applications, including large perimeters, public spaces, and wide indoor spaces.

Powerful PTZ auto-tracking functionality, combined with IDIS’s A-Cut and AI metadata search technology, allows busy control room teams and security staff to efficiently and accurately track the movements of humans and vehicles across multiple cameras and from scene to scene. Advanced attribute recognition also enables rapid searches by gender and age, wearable accessories, vehicle type (cars, trucks, buses, bicycles, motorcycles, etc.), and color.

Designed and made in South Korea, the cameras also feature a powerful 40x AF optical zoom lens and a built-in heater and IR illuminator, enabling exceptional night vision up to 400m. IK10 vandal-proof construction and IP66 and NEMA 4X environmental ratings against water, corrosion, dust, and ice, making them ideal for deployment in environments where security is mission-critical, including oil & gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, logistics, and warehousing, and where compliance with health and safety legislation and ensuring business continuity are also imperative. For every detected object in a video stream, a representative cropped image is automatically generated—making it easy to identify object types and characteristics at a glance. Clicking any image instantly takes operators to the precise moment a person or object appeared, giving them fast, intuitive access to key events that can be relayed to security officers in the field or on patrol via the IDIS mobile app to respond appropriately or escalated to security and operations managers to initiate standard operating procedures in the event of a significant threat or emergency.
The cropped images become even more powerful search tools when combined with IDIS’s AI metadata search functionality. Each piece of footage is assigned various attributes, which IDIS AI analyzes and classifies into three categories: human, vehicle, or face.
