Zenitel launches IP speaker kits for custom designs
Zenitel has launched two IP speaker kits that let partners build customized speakers for specific acoustic, enclosure and project requirements.
Zenitel has introduced the Indoor IP Speaker Kit ZIPS-K and Outdoor IP Speaker Kit ZIPS-KOE, giving integrators and partners access to the core technology used in its IP speaker portfolio. The kits are designed for projects where a standard speaker enclosure is not suitable, allowing partners to combine Zenitel’s IP audio, networking and management capabilities with their own loudspeaker and enclosure designs.
Custom speakers with Zenitel technology
The new kits allow partners to build and customize IP speakers around specific form factors, acoustic requirements and project needs.

This allows Zenitel technology to be used in applications where a standard speaker enclosure may not be the ideal fit. At the same time, partners can retain the communication capabilities expected from a Zenitel IP audio solution.
A common technology foundation
The new IP Speaker Kits will also become the technology foundation for Zenitel’s own IP speaker portfolio. They will replace the existing IP module and support further development across the range.
This gives partners access to the same underlying technology used in Zenitel’s own speakers. It also creates a common platform for both standard Zenitel products and customized partner solutions.

He added that partners increasingly need solutions adapted to specific environments and applications. Rather than limiting them to a predefined speaker design, the kits allow partners to develop different speaker types while keeping Zenitel technology at the core.
Rommetveit said the approach is also intended to extend the Zenitel ecosystem. Customers can either choose a complete Zenitel IP speaker or a customized speaker built with Zenitel technology, while still using the same foundation for critical communication.
The kits can also integrate with Zenitel’s wider Unified Critical Communication environment, including Zenitel Connect and Zenitel Cloud RMM.
