XPR: New Compact and Stylish XPRO Series QR Code Readers
XPR announced the launch of its new range of QR code readers, which completes the range dedicated to access control systems. This latest solution combines RFID, keypad, mobile ID, and QR code technologies, while maintaining a consistent and elegant design.

Already renowned for its robust and secure RFID readers and keypads, which are compatible with most access controllers on the market, the XPRO range now features QR code reading capabilities. This development responds to new applications relating to temporary access, mobile IDs, and visitor management, while ensuring continuity with existing installations.
Two Versions to Suit Every Application
This RFID version is ideal for environments where simplicity and aesthetics are essential. It supports RFID credentials (13.56 MHz and 125 kHz for site migration), as well as mobile IDs and QR codes displayed on smartphones or in printed form. The RFID + Keypad version enables PIN code or two-factor authentication, meeting the requirements of high-security applications. Both readers support Wiegand, OSDP, SSCP, and RS-485 protocols, and they can be easily configured via the integrated USB-C port using the Product Manager software.

Uncompromising Design and Performance
New readers feature an integrated QR code module and retain the sleek, modern design that characterizes the XPRO range. Their discreet, high-quality polymer housing and carefully integrated LED status displays allow them to blend seamlessly into contemporary architectural environments. The QR code reader provides reliable performance and a wide decoding range in all lighting conditions, thanks to its integrated illumination field and aiming point, which facilitate quick and intuitive use. The IP65-certified readers are suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations.
In addition to the readers, the XPR range includes REX push buttons that are designed to match the same aesthetic. XPR therefore provides a comprehensive access control solution for single doors, offering a professional and uniform finish from entry to exit.
Security at the Heart of Design
As with all XPRO products, security is a priority. The readers support secure RFID technologies, such as MIFARE DESFire EV3 and XPR’s Xsecure solution, delivering encrypted communication and enhanced protection against ID cloning. These secure technologies can be used alongside QR codes, offering great flexibility without compromising security.
