Shaffra expands beyond GCC with Azerbaijan AI hub

GCC-founded AI workforce company Shaffra has opened a regional headquarters in Azerbaijan, marking its first expansion beyond the Gulf.

Shaffra said the new operation will serve the Caspian region and introduce three of its enterprise AI workforce solutions: AI Call Center, AI Sales Center and AI Project Manager.

Shaffra develops autonomous AI workforce systems for enterprises and governments, with deployments across public-sector organizations in the UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia. Its platform supports sovereign and on-premises deployment, role-based access controls and audit trails for organizations with strict data and security requirements.

The expansion follows the company’s growth in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, where Shaffra says it has deployed autonomous AI teams for enterprises and government organizations.

Its AI Call Center is designed to manage inbound and outbound customer interactions, including inquiries, ticket creation and follow-up across phone, WhatsApp, SMS, email and web channels. The AI Sales Center supports lead qualification, meeting booking and sales follow-up, while the AI Project Manager tracks project progress, stakeholder actions and delivery risks.

Shaffra said Azerbaijan will serve as the first step in a broader expansion into the Caspian region, with additional partnerships planned in neighboring markets.

The company has raised more than $10 million and is backed by investors and technology partners including stc and Omantel.
