Microavia Wins Best Perimeter Security Solution at Intersec Awards 2026
At Intersec Dubai 2026, Microavia received the Best Perimeter Security Solution award for its Microavia drone-in-a-box surveillance solution.
The award was presented during the Intersec Awards ceremony held at the Conrad Hotel Dubai and was accepted by Enrique Plaza Baez, CEO of Microavia.
The awarded solution addresses critical infrastructure perimeter security challenges, enabling continuous monitoring of sites and rapid detection of incidents such as damaged fencing or suspicious activity near protected boundaries. It is also designed to help prevent illegal border crossings, including illegal migration, smuggling, poaching, and tunnel digging.
In the event of a breach or suspicious activity, the system supports target tracking until a quick response unit arrives on site, enhancing situational awareness and response coordination.
The Intersec Awards 2026 are part of the 27th edition of Intersec, taking place from 12–14 January 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, under the patronage of Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
