Intersec Special: Dahua’s Innovative Surveillance and Integration Solutions Address Evolving Market Needs

Dahua Technology, a world-leading video-centric AIoT solution and service provider, participated in Intersec 2025. The company showcased its latest innovations designed to meet the evolving demands of the Middle Eastern market.

At the event, Mohammed Barakat Alsomahey, Vice President of Dahua Technology Middle East and North Africa, highlighted the region’s rapid economic growth and increasing need for integrated security and safety solutions.

“The Middle East is a growing region,” he says. “And it’s business-wise as a location, it’s beautiful, which attracted a lot of businesses.”

Despite the promising opportunities, Alsomahey acknowledges that the market faces challenges, particularly in adopting edge analytics. Some clients opt for minimal regulatory requirements rather than fully leveraging advanced security technologies. Dahua addresses this by offering cost-effective, high-tech edge computing solutions that enhance existing equipment, integrating business intelligence features like people counting, footfall analysis, and customer behavior tracking. These tools help industries such as retail and mall operators gain valuable insights while improving security.

“This technology can identify unauthorized individuals, detect abnormal behavior, either fighting or even the fall down or abnormal gathering, and track movement within restricted areas,”

Showcasing AI-Enabled Surveillance

A key highlight at Dahua’s booth was its AI-enabled video surveillance technology. The company introduced TiOC, a series of cameras with auto-deterrent features designed to enhance proactive threat detection. The system employs edge analytics to detect unauthorized activity and responds with audible and visual alerts, including sirens and red and blue flashing lights.

“Normally, if someone tried to cross the wall and heard the sound of the siren and saw the red light and blue light, they would run away, not continue, by sixty percent probability,” Alsomahey explains. “So, this sixty percent is what we call crime prevention.”

TiOC cameras offer these advanced deterrence features at a price comparable to traditional surveillance cameras, making them accessible for home, workshop, and small facility use.

Enhancing Integration with Third-Party Solutions

Dahua also emphasized its commitment to open-platform solutions through the Dahua Ecosystem Program, which allows third-party technology partners to integrate their software and algorithms with Dahua’s hardware.

“We respect our technology partners from different companies,” Alsomahey states. “Even we started a DEPP program, the Dahua ECO Partner Program. That is for free. Any technological partner that wants to put their software or algorithm in our devices is welcome.”

Dahua aims to create a more comprehensive security ecosystem that benefits businesses and end users by fostering collaboration with other technology providers.

Advanced Analytics for Critical Infrastructure

Another major focus at the event was Dahua’s WIZMIND series, which enhances security for critical infrastructure through sophisticated analytics. These solutions feature high-precision capabilities and support dual SIPs for increased processing power. The Smart Motion Detection system offers high accuracy in intrusion detection, object tracking, and anomaly recognition.

“This technology can identify unauthorized individuals, detect abnormal behavior, either fighting or even the fall down or abnormal gathering, and track movement within restricted areas,” Alsomahey explains.

The ability to process multiple SIPs simultaneously sets WIZMIND apart from many competing solutions in the market.

Future Plans for the Middle East

Looking beyond 2025, Dahua plans to invest further in several key areas. The company is expanding its post-sales support services to better assist customers. It is also working to strengthen integration with other technology vendors and has established a dedicated team to collaborate with industry players across the Middle East and North Africa region. In addition, Dahua aims to develop industry-specific solutions, such as environmental monitoring systems that use sensors and cameras to detect factory emissions and assess environmental impact.

“We have more than twenty thousand products,” Alsomahey states. “Using it and combining these products for the right solution are important. Let’s take an example of environmental change. So, we have cameras and sensors that can detect the smoke from the factories. We can help the government evaluate the emissions from the factories.”

A Strong Presence at Intersec

Dahua Technology’s presence at Intersec 2025 reinforced its position as a key player in the security sector, offering tailored solutions to address regional challenges. With its focus on AI-driven surveillance, open-platform collaboration, and customized security systems, the company continues to evolve in response to market demands.

As Dahua looks to the future, its emphasis on innovation, accessibility, and integration signals a commitment to providing advanced security solutions that benefit businesses, governments, and communities alike.
