Dubai Police has announced the deployment of its latest smart policing innovation, the autonomous robotic patrol “DPR 02,” which will begin operations at Global Village. The initiative marks a significant step in Dubai’s strategy to enhance public safety through advanced technology.

According to a report by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the DPR 02 unit was unveiled during a press conference at GITEX Global 2025, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The patrol is designed for autonomous navigation and real-time coordination with the Command and Control Centre, enabling faster response times and improved situational awareness.

The robotic unit is equipped with AI-powered systems, 360-degree surveillance cameras, and advanced sensors, allowing it to operate continuously across high-traffic areas. Dubai Police officials emphasized that the DPR 02 complements human officers by providing data-driven insights and supporting field operations with precision and reliability.

The deployment reflects Dubai’s broader commitment to intelligent security infrastructure and innovation-led policing. The DPR 02’s launch at Global Village is part of ongoing efforts to integrate smart technologies into public safety frameworks, reinforcing the emirate’s position as a global leader in tech-driven law enforcement.
