Dallmeier’s Panomera V8 Wins iF Design Award 2026

Dallmeier’s Panomera V8 has won the iF Design Award 2026, with the company positioning the product as a blend of industrial design, operational transparency and high-performance video security for large-area coverage

Dallmeier has announced that its Panomera V8 camera has received the iF Design Award 2026, one of the world’s best-known design honours. According to the company, the product was recognised in the cameras category for combining form, functionality and technological performance in a single design concept.

In the press release, Dallmeier said the Panomera V8 is part of a modular product family designed to fit into different architectural environments while supporting modern security applications. A notable feature is its integrated light indicator, which shows whether the system is recording or in standby mode, adding a layer of visual transparency for the public. The company also said the model uses eight lenses to provide seamless 180-degree coverage without blind spots.

Dallmeier added that the camera includes sunshields to separate lens levels and protect them from environmental influences, while the overall design was optimized not only for operation but also for production, transport, installation, maintenance and upgrades.

According to Dallmeier, the Panomera range is based on its patented multifocal sensor technology, which allows large areas to be captured in high resolution with fewer hardware requirements. The company said this can help reduce installation and operating costs, supporting a lower total cost of ownership for end users.

For the security market, the award gives Dallmeier a timely platform to underline that product design is becoming more important in video surveillance, not only from an aesthetic perspective, but also in terms of usability, transparency and long-term operational efficiency.
