Intersec Special: IDtech’s Stronger Middle East Presence with Advanced Integrations and Cybersecurity-Focused Controllers

At Intersec 2025, IDtech reaffirmed its commitment to high-security solutions with a showcase of its latest integrations and innovations tailored for the Middle East market. The event served as a platform for the company to highlight its new-generation controllers and partnerships aimed at enhancing security and system efficiency across governmental and critical infrastructure sectors.
Thomas Deville, General Manager of IDtech Middle East and Africa, says that one of the main challenges in the region is the “lack of regulation, the lack of standards, and the lack of verification that there was a proper implementation of those standards and regulations.” To tackle this, IDTech collaborates with partners, consultants, and design offices to help implement security standards effectively.
Showcasing Seamless System Integrations
During Intersec 2025, IDtech presented its integration with Touchless Biometric Systems (TBS) and Milestone’s high-security video management system, Milestone Protect. Deville explains that customers in the region often seek a single interface to manage different systems, and IDtech’s integrations provide exactly that. “Key benefits,” he states, “are convenience for all stakeholders, especially for the users, and security.”
Advancing Cybersecurity with Fifth-Generation Controllers
A key highlight at the event was the launch of IDtech’s fifth-generation controllers, released in 2024. These intelligent controllers incorporate new features designed to align with the European NIS2 directive, ensuring enhanced cybersecurity protection. Deville emphasizes that integrating cybersecurity measures within physical security systems has been one of the biggest challenges, requiring buy-in from all stakeholders, from suppliers to clients.
Scalable and Flexible Security Solutions
IDtech’s approach to security solutions prioritizes adaptability. Deville underlines that the company focuses on offering “high security, great flexibility, but also scalability.” This means organizations can configure systems according to their specific security needs, from basic configurations to more complex, evolving setups as their requirements grow.
A Milestone Year for IDtech
The year 2025 marks a significant milestone for IDtech as it celebrates its 40th anniversary. Since its founding in 1985, the company has expanded its global footprint, with the Middle East playing an increasingly important role in its growth strategy. “2025 is the year for us to establish a brand strongly in the Middle East and confirm our presence here with our partners,” Deville states.
By leveraging cutting-edge integrations, advanced cybersecurity measures, and a commitment to regional security needs, IDtech demonstrated at Intersec 2025 that it remains a key player in the evolving landscape of high-security solutions.
