Honeywell Opens Himaya Center in Saudi Arabia to Strengthen Industrial Cybersecurity

Honeywell has inaugurated the Honeywell Himaya Center in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, to deliver localized cybersecurity solutions for critical industrial sectors across the Kingdom. The center, introduced at the IKTVA Forum and Exhibition in Dhahran, underlines Saudi Arabia’s commitment to industrial transformation and localization.
Located in Honeywell’s Jubail office, the Himaya Center supports the company’s focus on key megatrends such as automation. It bolsters the Kingdom’s industrial cybersecurity capabilities by offering advanced Operational Technology (OT) security solutions to tackle emerging threats and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
The center will provide Managed Security Services (MSS) to critical sectors, including energy, manufacturing, and utilities. Key services feature Honeywell’s Cyber Insight and Cyber Watch software, which help organizations maintain compliance with the National Cybersecurity Authority’s (NCA) OT Cybersecurity Controls (OTCC) regulations. Additionally, the center’s offerings aim to facilitate the integration of automation and AI-driven technologies.
“The launch of the Honeywell Himaya Center highlights our commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s localization and industrial transformation goals in line with the IKTVA program,” said Abdullah Al-Juffali, President of Honeywell Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. “This center will deliver critical cybersecurity capabilities, fostering a resilient and self-reliant industrial ecosystem in the Kingdom.”
Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity market is projected to grow from $3.6 billion today to $10.5 billion by 2032, driven by digital transformation, rising cyber threats, and the Vision 2030 initiative. The increasing adoption of cloud technologies and the focus on data protection across industries have accelerated demand for advanced security solutions.
“Industrial automation and AI are essential for enhancing operational efficiency and resilience in critical sectors,” said George Bou Mitri, President of Honeywell Industrial Automation for the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, and Central Asia. “The Honeywell Himaya Center will support businesses in navigating the complexities of industrial cybersecurity while capitalizing on automation technologies.”
With over 70 years of operations in Saudi Arabia, Honeywell continues to drive technology adoption and sustainability in the region. Through training programs, the company equips Saudi nationals with vital technical skills in energy, automation, and aviation, contributing to the Kingdom’s ambition to become a knowledge-driven economy.
