Eid Al Fitr 2024: Security plans announced in Ras Al Khaimah
Ras Al Khaimah Police have unveiled their security arrangements for Eid Al Fitr, including increased traffic and security patrols across the region’s roads throughout the holiday period.
Surveillance cameras will be active on roads, while patrols will be heightened in tourist destinations, parks, markets, public areas, and residential communities to minimize traffic congestion.
Additional patrols will be stationed near mosques hosting Eid prayers.
Authorities have urged the public to adhere to speed limits, avoid creating traffic blockages, and refrain from using mobile phones while driving.
Parents have been reminded to supervise their children both indoors and outdoors, especially in beach areas, swimming pools, and public spaces, and to be cautious of the hazards associated with fireworks.
The police pointed out that the Central Operations Room and the Unified Call Centre of Ras Al Khaimah Police are fully prepared to receive public reports on 999 for any emergency and 901 for non-emergency cases.
Based on the directives of Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police has completed procedures ahead of the festive holiday season.
Brigadier General Dr Yousef Salem bin Yaqoub Al Zaabi, Acting Director-General of Central Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police, said the move is in implementation of the strategic mission of the Ministry of Interior, which aims to enhance the quality of life of the UAE community.
