DIPMF 2024 ‘Beyond Boundaries’ to Begin
The ninth edition of the Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF) is set to begin on January 17th, 2024. The event is supported by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, hosted by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai, and co-hosted by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), DP World Group, and the Project Management Institute (PMI).
The theme of the event is ‘Beyond Boundaries’, focusing on Sustainability, Modern Methods of Project Management, and Future Trends and Technology, which includes topics such as artificial intelligence, the future of smart mobility, agile transformation, digital twin/metaverse, and data management, according to RTA.
His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Roads and Transport Authority, stated in the article that DIPMF grew into a crucial worldwide event in the agenda of a specialized international conference circuit. The forum is renowned for showcasing best practices and promoting innovative solutions in project management. Additionally, it proved to be a global platform where leaders from the region gather to exchange experiences and solutions for city buildings and infrastructure development.
He further stated that the forum will be an opportunity to share the leading experience in managing sustainable energy projects, as well as their practices aiming to encourage innovation, efficiency, and reducing carbon emissions. One of the most prominent projects implemented is the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the largest single-site solar park in the world. It fully supports the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050 to provide 100% of the energy production capacity from clean energy sources by 2050.
Several masterclasses will be offered during the Forum, some of which relate to Artificial Intelligence and Big Data. The theme ‘Beyond Boundaries’ perfectly reflects the UAE’s drive for innovation, sustainability, and global connectivity, uniting leaders to accelerate economic and environmental prosperity.
