King Abdulaziz University Launches Pioneering AI Program in Education and Research
King Abdulaziz University has initiated a groundbreaking program focused on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in education and scientific research, marking the first of its kind among Saudi universities. This innovative program is designed to provide participants with in-depth knowledge of applying AI in areas such as data analysis, leadership, and management. The initiative aims to develop a clear vision and set strategic goals, policies, and future perspectives to align the educational and research processes with ongoing technological advancements.
Dr. Amin Yousef Noaman, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at King Abdulaziz University, underscored the vital role of AI in enhancing the learning experience and addressing the evolving demands of the job market. He emphasized that by equipping students with AI competencies, the university is helping them secure appropriate employment opportunities post-graduation. The program reflects the university’s dedication to remaining at the forefront of educational innovation by continually responding to emerging needs.
Spanning an entire semester, the program includes 50 hours of intensive training and 30 hours of assignments. The sessions are led by a team of expert faculty members from the university, ensuring that students are well-prepared to effectively incorporate these advanced technologies into their academic and research work.
