Saudi Interior Ministry showcases security tech at LEAP 2026

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior showcased 36 security and digital projects across six interconnected systems at LEAP 2026.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the Ministry said its LEAP 2026 showcase focused on connecting modern technologies, data, artificial intelligence and digital services into an integrated security and services ecosystem. LEAP is Saudi Arabia’s major technology conference and exhibition focused on AI, cybersecurity, cloud, IoT, smart cities and digital transformation.
The six areas comprise field security and safety, rapid response, road safety, security cameras, digital services and institutional services. Together, they cover 36 services and projects, including seven related to security cameras and eight focused on rapid response.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior showcased technologies spanning field security, rapid response, road safety, security cameras, digital and institutional services.
One of the technologies demonstrated by Saudi Public Security was an AI-enabled fixed-wing drone designed for security monitoring and surveillance. The aircraft can remain airborne for up to three hours, operate at ranges of up to 110 km and uses a thermal night-vision camera.
AI algorithms allow the drone to transmit real-time field imagery to operations rooms and monitoring centers, supporting faster response and decision-making.
IoT integration for fleet management
The Ministry also signed an MoU with Internet of Things Information Technology Company to develop and upgrade its fleet management and tracking platform.
The agreement will integrate technologies used across Ministry security systems and introduce IoT-based services, providing another example of the shift from standalone technologies toward interconnected operational platforms.
240m+ transactions
Saudi Arabia’s Absher platform processed more than 240 million electronic transactions in the first half of 2026.
Elsewhere at the Ministry pavilion, its Absher platform highlighted the digital-services side of the transformation. Absher recorded more than 240 million electronic transactions in the first half of 2026, while Ministry-issued digital identities also provide access to government and private-sector services through the national Nafath platform.
