Network Optix Elevates Geo-Visualization Capabilities with Acquisition of Navicops Intelligent Mapping System
Network Optix, a leading innovator in enterprise video platform technology, is excited to reveal its latest strategic move – the acquisition of the Navicops Intelligent Mapping System. This innovative GIS mapping tool elevates the management and monitoring of IP devices and video data through advanced geolocation data visualization.
“We’re delighted to join forces with Network Optix and bring the benefits of our intelligent mapping technology to the Nx platform,”
Jordan Iuncker, co-creator of Navicops Intelligent Mapping
Developed by a creative duo in France, the Navicops Intelligent Mapping System was originally designed to address the need for an advanced mapping system for cities and towns utilizing intelligent video platforms like Nx Witness VMS. Leveraging the In-client JavaScript API introduced in Nx Witness v5.0, the developers crafted a tool that enhances geo-location data tagging and visualization across various applications.
Along with the acquisition, the brains behind Navicops will join the Network Optix team to further refine and enhance the capabilities of the mapping system for geo-location data tagging. This strategic move not only enriches the Nx platform’s data visualization capabilities with a robust geo-location layer, but also reinforces Network Optix’s evolution into a leading cloud-based data visualization company, blending video intelligence with geospatial data.
“We’re delighted to join forces with Network Optix and bring the benefits of our intelligent mapping technology to the Nx platform. Greater flexibility for users, better management of different systems, and faster response times introduces a totally new functionality to the platform,” said Jordan Iuncker, co-creator of Navicops Intelligent Mapping.
The Navicops Intelligent Mapping System will introduce a key feature to Network Optix products Nx Go and Nx Witness in the upcoming release of Gen 6 Enterprise, set to launch late this summer. To celebrate this launch, Network Optix is offering early adopters of Gen 6 free access to the mapping features for the lifetime of their systems. This offer will be available for a limited time, so keep an eye out for the launch later in 2024.
Note: The Intelligent Mapping feature will become a paid add-on for subsequent adopters of all future versions of the software beyond Gen 6 Enterprise.
