INTECH Lands OT Cybersecurity Project for Major Middle East Offshore Oil Field

The project targets legacy network security systems across offshore and linked onshore facilities, underscoring the rising focus on protecting production-critical oil and gas infrastructure in the Middle East

INTECH has secured a project to strengthen OT cybersecurity infrastructure for production facilities tied to one of the world’s largest offshore oil fields in the Middle East, according to reporting published on the company’s website. The initiative will focus on upgrading legacy network security systems that protect critical offshore operations as well as associated onshore environments.

According to INTECH, the work includes assessing existing network and security infrastructure across multiple offshore sites, modernizing legacy OT security systems, implementing and validating updated cybersecurity controls, and carrying out deployment in a way designed to maintain stable operations. The company said the project is intended to improve network segmentation, infrastructure reliability, and the long-term security of the OT environment supporting offshore production.

The development reflects the growing importance of OT cybersecurity in the region’s energy sector, where operators are under pressure to secure industrial automation and control systems without affecting safety or production continuity. INTECH said its experience in complex industrial environments across the region has helped position it for projects involving large-scale, production-critical assets.
