UAE and Portugal Sign Security Sector Agreement

As part of the Portugal Safe project, the APSEI – Portuguese Security Association – organized two Inverse Missions to Portugal in April and May 2023, hosting two representatives from the United Arab Emirates. Over the course of six days, the delegation visited security sector companies and innovative institutions, attended the Proteger 2023 International Conference, and participated in the Business Network event.

These activities focused on exploring partnership opportunities between UAE and Portuguese SMEs, as well as discussing the Security Sector and the project’s developed tools, including market studies, benchmarking, collaborative networks and platforms, and prospecting and contact actions.

“As part of the security sector’s internationalisation strategy, APSEI defined the United Arab Emirates as a market of opportunity. If Portuguese SMEs are already recognised, in other sectors, as quality and reliable partners, why not extend this reputation to the Security Sector and work alongside the most recognized world players, in a win-win perspective”, says Carlos Dias, Chairman of the Board from APSEI.
