Suprema combines enterprise and cloud access control
Suprema is combining enterprise security management, cloud-native access control and AI-powered biometrics as it expands deployment options for organizations with different infrastructure requirements.
The company’s current access control portfolio is structured around both centralized enterprise deployments and cloud-first environments, allowing organizations to select architectures based on site complexity, infrastructure and operational requirements.
For larger enterprise environments, BioStar X serves as Suprema’s unified security platform, bringing biometric access control and security monitoring into a centralized management environment. The platform is designed to support scalable deployments, high availability and integration with other security and business systems.
For cloud-focused applications, BioStar Air provides a cloud-native alternative designed to reduce dependence on traditional on-premises infrastructure. It enables organizations to manage biometric, mobile and RFID access across multiple locations and supports both direct-to-cloud deployments and hybrid edge architectures.
The two platforms are supported by Suprema’s portfolio of biometric and multi-credential devices, which includes facial and fingerprint recognition alongside mobile credentials, QR codes, RFID cards and PINs.
Among these devices is the company’s flagship BioStation 3 Max, which combines facial and fingerprint authentication with multiple credential technologies in a single terminal. Rather than representing a standalone deployment model, the terminal illustrates how Suprema is extending biometric identity capabilities across its wider access control ecosystem.
By combining enterprise and cloud-based management with multiple authentication technologies, Suprema is positioning its portfolio to address both traditional centralized security environments and increasingly distributed, cloud-connected access control deployments.
