Group-IB has entered into a strategic partnership with Copy Cat Group, described as East Africa’s largest systems integrator, to strengthen cybersecurity resilience for enterprises across Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Ethiopia. According to Group-IB, the collaboration combines its predictive threat intelligence and adversary-centric expertise with Copy Cat Group’s regional market presence.
This move is a part of a broader push to help organizations in the region shift from reactive security practices to proactive cyber resilience.
The company said the partnership will introduce its Unified Risk Platform to the East African market through Copy Cat Group’s enterprise ecosystem. The platform brings together predictive threat intelligence, digital risk protection, attack surface management, managed XDR, business email protection and fraud prevention in a single architecture designed to help organizations identify threats early and stop attacks before they escalate.
In the press release, Group-IB framed the move as part of a broader push to help organizations in the region shift from reactive security practices to proactive cyber resilience. The company said its adversary-centric approach is intended to give customers better visibility into how cybercriminal groups operate, how attack campaigns evolve and where defenses need to improve.
Group-IB also linked the partnership to the changing threat landscape in Africa, where cybercrime is becoming more disruptive and more costly. The company cited growing pressure on enterprises, critical infrastructure, financial systems and digital services, adding that the alliance will help regional organizations strengthen their ability to anticipate, detect and respond to threats.
The partnership was formally introduced during the Africa CISO Summit, held on 11–12 March in Nairobi, where Group-IB and Copy Cat Group presented their joint cybersecurity capabilities to senior security leaders from across the region.
