Kuwait Introduces Electronic Traffic Fines
The Ministry of Interior of Kuwait revealed on Sunday that traffic fines in Kuwait will now be electronically issued.
Through a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, drivers were notified about this recent update. This step has been taken under the guidance of the Minister of Interior to increase transparency and control unruly driving behavior and violations.
It also aims to streamline traffic management effectively. Instances of violations and associated fines will be promptly conveyed to the offenders via the “Sahl” application.
This new procedure is set to be put into effect starting from September 1, 2023.
