Qatar NCSA strengthens data security compliance

Qatar’s National Cyber Security Agency is expanding training on data classification and information assurance as part of efforts to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities across the country.

The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) has conducted specialized cybersecurity training focused on data governance, information security and the protection of critical digital assets. The program is being delivered through the agency’s National Cyber Strategies and Policies Department.

Participants received practical guidance on asset identification and categorization, standards compliance and the development and maintenance of information security management systems. Continuous monitoring, operational checks and risk assessments were also included as measures for maintaining long-term information security and resilience.

NCSA said the series is intended to build cybersecurity knowledge and increase professional competencies, supporting organizations as they apply national requirements for data classification and information assurance.
