Ajax Cameras and NVRs Gain ONVIF Profile G Conformance
Ajax Systems has added ONVIF Profile G conformance to its wired cameras and network video recorders, expanding interoperability with third-party video management systems and NVRs.
- Profile G enables standardized access to recorded video.
- Compatible VMS platforms can search and retrieve footage.
- The update complements existing ONVIF Profile S support.
Third-party systems that also conform to ONVIF Profile G can now access recordings stored on Ajax devices through standardized ONVIF interfaces. This includes remote playback, retrieval of stored video and audio, management of recording sessions, and time-based searches of archived footage.
Extending ONVIF interoperability
Ajax video devices already conform to ONVIF Profile S, which supports interoperability for IP video streaming. Profile G extends interoperability to recording, storage and retrieval functions, allowing Ajax devices to work more extensively within third-party video surveillance environments.
The new functionality is available after updating Ajax wired cameras to firmware version 2.901 and NVRs to version 2.751 or later.
Ajax DoorBell and IndoorCam are not ONVIF Profile G conformant because they do not support SD card recording.
