UAE IT Leaders: We are Ready for to Meet AI Technology
According to the Equinix 2023 Global Tech Trends Survey, more than three-quarters (77%) of IT leaders in the UAE believe their current IT infrastructure is ready to meet the demands of artificial intelligence (AI) technology. This places the UAE ahead of other countries in terms of AI readiness, as only 58% of global and 51% of EMEA IT leaders share the same confidence in their infrastructure.
The survey focused on IT leaders’ responses to AI advancements within their organizations, following a year marked by significant AI breakthroughs and widespread deployment across various sectors, including both business-to-business and business-to-consumer applications.
Kaladhar Voruganti, Senior Technologist at Equinix, emphasized the growing integration of AI within organizations globally, noting its increasing importance in enabling intelligent and autonomous systems that drive modern businesses. Voruganti warned that those who fail to harness the full potential of AI risk falling behind.
Equinix’s survey, which involved 2,900 IT decision-makers worldwide, revealed a rising trend of AI adoption across all industry sectors. A significant 85% of respondents expressed their intention to leverage the advantages of AI, with many already implementing or planning to use it in multiple key functions. In the UAE, the highest adoption rates or planned usage of AI were observed in IT operations (97%), followed by cybersecurity (95%) and sales (95%).
