E-Monitoring of Vehicle Insurance to Be Introduced by Saudi Traffic

The arrangements for the automatic monitoring of the vehicle insurance are completed, according to Saudi Gazette. Saudi Arabia’s General Department of Traffic’s initiative will focus on detecting the failure of having valid insurance for vehicles, starting from Sunday, October First of 2023. 

The process is such that the automatic monitoring will comence on the road for all vehicles who do not possess an insurance cover. All drivers are supposed to follow the traffic rules and safety regulations as a way of ensuring that their vehicles have valid insurance in a case of emergency. 

Drivers who do not adhere to the rule will be fined with a minimum of SR100, and a maximum of SR150.
